Day 9 - December 10, 2010

As I was leaving a house party tonight, I saw this Taro growing in pots.  I thought this was pretty cool that someone would grow taro in pots.

Day 8 - December 9, 2010

I ran up the ridge behind Kalani High School during the day.  This is one of those times I was sorry for forgetting my camera in my office.  It was such a beautiful view from this house I visited.  I hope there is another opportunity to visit that house.  Well stopped in at a dance.  Dj Sumi was mixing things up for the crowd!!!

Day 7 - December 8, 2010

I ran downstairs of my building to take pictures of the Buildings tree. This tree was big and it took 4 men to put up.  Really nice tree this year.  Better than fake!!!

Day 6 - December 7, 2010

I did some window shopping at the Waikele Outlet Shopping Center.  It has been awhile since I had the time to walk around the outlet mall at night but tonight I found these vending machines which gives foot massages.  I couldn't believe it.  People do so much shopping now-a-days that they need to have a foot massage to get them going again? I saw a local family get off this and looked like they got on because it was a novelty item.  It fascinated them as well.  No I didn't go as far as get on it.  No way.  I wonder who their target market is? Is it the local people?  What I also found interesting is that there is a heck of a lot more japanese written to keep our guests out of the dark and wonderment of how to get this contrapment working!!  Seriously all the food places and everything has japanese signage now.  Back in the day it wasn't like this.

PS - I didn't forget what today is.  My heart goes out to all those that fought in that battle starting with the attack on Pearl Harbor on this day 69 years ago!!

Day 5 - December 6, 2010

Was frantically running around the house to photograph something for the day.  I thought these little guys would be a good thing to try the macro on my new camera with.  Mind you these trinkets are only 1" tall.  My friend gave me a few and then went to get a few after that.  I still have to go hunt for the whole set to make it complete at 12 but still have not done that yet.  Will do it soon.........maybe. hehehe

Day 1 - December 2, 2010

I recently purchased a Canon S95.  I've been super excited to have a new camera.  This isn't the first picture with the camera but the first post of a year to practice photography.  I seen someone's post today about childhood cartoons.  So I dug up some of my childhood toys from He-man.  He-man was one of my favorites back in the day.  This is to childhood memories!!
